Taiyuan University of Technology (henceforth, TYUT) is located in downtown Taiyuan and has a history of 114 years tracing back to 1902. It is the only university in Shanxi Province nominated by Chinese Ministry of Education as one of the top 100 universities in the 21st century in China, i.e. “Project 211”. TYUT is an officially recognized university for Shanxi Government Scholarship for International Studentsin Shanxi (SGS), China. Applicants are required to fill in the application form and submit related documents.
1.Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens who are motivated to study in Shanxi or who are already studying in Shanxi fulltime;
2.Applicants should be in good health, hardworking and observe the Chinese laws and the TYUT regulations;
3.Applicants for SGS scholarship should not be on other scholarship offered by Chinese government;
4.Applicants for SGS scholarship should meet other TYUT requirements;
5.Applicants for A programs, i.e. doctorate degree programs must:
◆be under 45 years old;
◆have a master degree;
◆have two recommendation letters from 2 professors or associate professors;
◆meet the requirements of Chinese proficiency. Those who are not up to the requirements must first participate in Chinese language training at TYUT;
6.Applicants for B programs, i.e. master degree programs should:
◆ be under 40 years old;
◆ have a bachelor degree;
◆have two recommendation letters from 2 professors or associate professors;
◆meet the requirements of Chinese proficiency. Those who are not up to the requirements must first participate in Chinese language training at TYUT;
7.Applicants for C programs, i.e. bachelor degree programs should:
◆be under 35 years old;
◆have a senior high school diploma;
◆meet the requirements of Chinese proficiency. Those who are not up to the requirements must first participate in Chinese language training at TYUT;
8.Applicants for D programs, i.e. Chinese language programs should:
◆ be under 45 years old with a senior high school (or above) diploma;
◆ be under 50 years old with a master degree or associate professorship;
◆ be under 55 years old with a doctorate degree or professorship.
9. Applicants should submit:
◆ APPLICATION FROM FOR SHANXI GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP (refer to the attachment)；
◆ the notarized latest education diploma, the PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REPORT FOR FOREIGNERS；
◆ the study plan.
10. The applicants who are under 18 years old have to submit the legal documents from the guardian in China;
11. The applicants who are already studying in Shanxi have to submit:
◆ transcript from the present university in China;
◆ the certificate of Chinese language proficiency;
◆ the evaluation and comment from the Chinese university on the presence, law abiding situation and overall performance etc.
Our university agency number is 10112. The applicants are required to fill in the application form accordingly and sent e-copy to studyintyut@tyut.edu.cn , and mail the hard copies of the documents to our university by May 10, 2016. You may mail us the documents at any time from now until May 10. (Refer to the address at the bottom of this email as the mailing address.) All the documents mentioned above will not be returned to the applicants.

太原理工大学是山西省来晋留学政府奖学金生培养院校之一，机构代码是10112。下载表格填报申请，同时符合以下 奖学金的申请条件 ：
1.申请对象为拟来晋或在晋攻读学位的外国籍全日制学生；或拟来晋进修一年以上(含一年)的外国籍公民，对华友好，身体健康。
2.申请人须表现良好，品行端正，勤奋好学，遵守中国法律法规和就读学校的相关管理规定。
3.未同时获得中国政府其他各类奖学金。
4.申请人符合所申请高校的其它录取条件。
5、申请A类即博士学位奖学金，应具有硕士学位或相当学历，有2名教授或副教授的推荐信，年龄在45周岁及以下；
6、申请B类即硕士学位奖学金，应具有学士学位或相当学历，有2名教授或副教授的推荐信，年龄在40周岁及以下；
7、申请C类即学士奖学金，应获得相当于我国高级中学毕业的学历，年龄在35周岁及以下；
8、申请D类即语言研修奖学金，须具有相当于我国高级中学毕业以上学历，年龄在45周岁及以下；具有硕士学历或副教授职称的进修生，年龄可放宽至50周岁及以下；具有博士学历或教授职称的进修生，年龄可放宽至55周岁及以下。
申请人应提交《山西省来晋留学政府奖学金申请表》（见附表），提供经过公证的最高学历证明、由我国卫生检疫部门统一印制的《外国人体格检查记录》、学习研修计划等。年龄不满18周岁的申请人，须提交在华法定监护人相关法律文件；已在山西省高等学校就读的留学生还需提交在校学习期间的成绩单、语言水平证明材料，以及学校对申请人考勤、遵守纪律及操行等情况的鉴定意见。学校对申请材料的真实性进行审核。申请人提交的申请材料均不退回。
申请者需于2016年5月10日前将纸质版寄送到以下地址。如果申请者有在中国学习的经历，请提供证明以及证明人的信息。
